Matchday: Match Preview – Team News – Betting Preview
Match: Nottingham Forest v Arsenal
Stadium: The City Ground
Kick Off (GMT): Tue Sep 20 19:45
It’s the first time the clubs have faced each other since 1999 but the history is definitely with the visitors as Nottingham Forest have beaten Arsenal just once in the last eleven meetings. The Gunners’ record in the League Cup has been very poor in recent seasons. Arsenal have lost in the Third Round in each of the last two seasons and only reached the fourth stage the year before. Forest have had similar success. The home team have got past the Third Round just once since 2000. One side’s fortunes will change tonight in what should be an interesting match.

Olivier Giroud and Aaron Ramsey are both expected to miss the game through injury and Arsene Wenger is expected to use a mix of youth and fringe players for the tie. Kieran Gibbs and Mathieu Debuchy are expected to play, as is Gabriel Paulista who is back in full training after a lengthy injury layoff.
