Arsenal take on Hull City on Saturday afternoon just a few days after that Champions League match against PSG. We expect the majority of the same team to start with a few changes in attack.
Here’s how we think Arsenal will line up:
GK) Petr Cech
The Arsenal number one should retain his place in goal for Saturday’s match. The Czech stopper was rather surprisingly dropped for David Ospina on Tuesday night and it seems that the Colombian will be The Gunners’ Champions League goalkeeper.
RB) Hector Bellerin
The Spaniard should keep his place on Saturday. The number one right back had a steady match earlier in the week and will expect more of the same on Saturday.
CB) Laurent Koscielny
Laurent Koscielny was one of the side’s worst performers against PSG but should keep his place in the centre of defence. The Frenchman was way out of position for Cavani’s early goal and will need to stamp errors like that out of his game if Arsenal are to challenge for the Premier League title this season.
CB) Shkodran Mustafi
The German centre back should keep his place alongside Koscielny. Mustafi has shown some signs of nervousness during his first two matches, being caught in possession and misplacing a couple of passes, and will need to iron that out of his game. However the former Valencia man has been dominant in the air and strong in the tackle and will expect more of the same.
LB) Nacho Monreal
Nacho Monreal hasn’t started the season particularly well. The Spanish full back was Arsenal’s first choice in that position last season and was one of the side’s most consistent performers but that seems to be changing. Kieran Gibbs is knocking on the door and must be close to being selected by Wenger.
