Aaron Ramsey has been sidelined since encountering a hamstring injury in the opening match of the season against Liverpool, and will miss out on Saturday’s match against Chelsea.
The Wales international did return to training after the international break but he is still not fit to be available for selection.
Manager Arsene Wenger is hesitant to gamble on the midfielder’s fitness following his experience with recently loaned out Jack Wilshere who lost his place in the team because of his prolonged injury spell.
While the Frenchman fears rushing Ramsey’s return, he is also frustrated over his slow recovery as reported by The Sun. The inability to put a tentative date on the 25-year-old’s return further worries Wenger.
Ramsey has missed six games in all competitions so far and will miss out on participating in the upcoming big match against Chelsea.
He played an important part in Arsenal’s surge to second place with 30 Premier League appearances and then led Wales into the semi-finals of Euro 2016. His performance and two goals over the summer saw him being named in the Team of the Tournament.

While Arsenal is doing well with Santi Cazorla, Francis Coquelin and Granit Xhaka as strong options in midfield, they do need Ramsey available especially in important games like Chelsea where his experience and drive can be vital.
Even though there is no chance of Ramsey’s return against the Blues, the Gunners will hopefully have Olivier Giroud available who is recovering from a toe injury but Arsene is yet to announce him fit and available for the match.
