Jack Wilshere has hit back at claims he has no future at Arsenal and admits he is enjoying his football again after playing regularly for Bournemouth.
The midfielder came under fire from Jamie Redknapp who said he felt the midfielder should leave the Gunners as he did not think he could get back into Arsene Wenger’s team regularly.
However, Wilshere, who played his first full 90 minutes in over two years on Saturday as his Bournemouth side held Tottenham at the Vitality Stadium, has now responded to the pundit’s claims.
“I don’t know where he got that from. He is entitled to his opinion. I’ve not really thought about that too much,” he said according to the Daily Express.
“I’m just trying to get back to what I was, enjoying my football and playing week-in, week-out and the Tottenham game was a massive step towards that.
“So I’ve not really thought about that so how other people can comment on it…listen, he’s entitled to his opinion. If he doesn’t see me going back to Arsenal then that’s up to him but I haven’t thought about that.”

Wilshere did admit, however, that he has definitely gone out of his comfort zone by moving to Eddie Howe’s side but is happy to prove himself.
“Sometimes when you’ve been at a top club you’re whole career and you’re playing week in, week out, it is easy to get into that comfort zone,” Wilshere added.
“For me to come here and taste a different side of the Premier League, where you have to fight for everything, fight for every point and work as a team… it is definitely out of my comfort zone.
“But the lads and manager [Eddie Howe] here have been great for me and I am looking forward to the season. No matter where I was, I would feel I had to prove myself all over again, because I have missed so much football.”
Wilshere’s future is likely to remain the subject of speculation during his loan spell with Bournemouth although the signs are positive, and finally playing 90 minutes is a serious milestone that could hopefully prove a turning point in his career.
