Arsenal sent scouts to watch Celtic starlet Moussa Dembele in action during Wednesday’s Champions League defeat to Barcelona.
ESPN report that the Gunners were one of a number of clubs to have the forward watched during the game against Luis Enrique’s men with Lionel Messi scoring twice to knock the hosts out of Europe.
Representatives from Manchester United, Southampton and Atletico Madrid were also at the game to watch the 20-year-old in action.
Both Arsenal and Manchester United have reportedly watched Dembele on more than one occasion this season while Southampton and Atletico Madrid have also now joined the chase.
Dembele has been a revelation since moving to Celtic Park from Fulham in the summer, scoring 16 goals in 26 appearances in all competition for Brendan Rodgers’ men.
However, the youngster has insisted recently that he has no intention of leaving Celtic, despite the speculation surrounding his future.

The Scottish champions are also keen to keep hold of their star man and are believed to be unlikely to sanction a sale in the January transfer window.
Whether they will be able to keep hold of Dembele in the long-term, particularly if he maintains the form he has shown this season, remains to be seen.
The Hoops have seen fellow big names Victor Wanyama and Virgil van Dijk tempted away from the club in recent seasons and despite his words, the youngster may find a big offer from a top club too tempting to turn down.
