Arsenal have been hit with a fresh injury blow after it was confirmed that Hector Bellerin had pulled out of international duty with the Spain Under-21 side due to injury.
The full-back missed a training session yesterday with what was described as a “light injury” and sat out another session on Wednesday before it was announced he had been replaced in the squad by Javier Manquillo.

Spain have not yet revealed the precise nature of the injury and although Bellerin was left out of Arsenal’s trip to Ludogorets, as a precaution, he returned to the side and successfully played 90 minutes for the Gunners in Sunday’s north London derby.
The news is another blow to Arsenal who have already been rocked by star man Alexis Sanchez picking up a problem on international duty with Chile.
The forward has suffered a “low grade muscular injury” and has been ruled out of their clash with Colombia although Sanchez is reportedly keen to play in Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier with Uruguay.

Both Bellerin and Sanchez are key men for the Gunners who will be hoping they can return to full match fitness when the Premier League resumes after the international break with a trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United.
