Arsenal have opened talks over a £20 million January move for AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca, according to The Sun.
The report claims Arsene Wenger is concerned about his side’s attack with Olivier Giroud, Lucas Perez and Danny Welbeck all having struggled with injury this season.
The Frenchman does not want to see his side’s title ambitions undermined by a lack of goals and has turned his attentions to the Colombia international.
Wenger has reportedly tried to sign Bacca before and will try again with Milan unable to finance any new signings until they have sold first.
Bacca hit the headlines last week after returning to Sevilla to watch his former side in action while Milan were playing Empoli, although coach Vincenzo Montella has subsequently insisted his trip was sanctioned as he was injured.
The striker has six goals in 13 games for Milan this season but has frequently been linked with a move away from San Siro.

Alexis Sanchez’s stunning form this season, he is the joint Premier League top scorer with 11 goals, has ensured the Gunners have not lacked for goals despite injuries to the rest of the forward line.
However, those injuries seem to be clearing up with Perez back in action, Giroud not far behind and Welbeck expected to return towards the end of the year.
And, while there is no doubting Bacca’s quality, should Wenger be able to get all his forward fit and firing there seems little need for any reinforcements in attack.
