Arsene Wenger has sent his scouts to Germany amid interest over a couple of young players. The youngsters are twins who currently play for Wolfsburg, bearing more than a few coincidences with the Da Silva twins who once played for manchester United (via Sport Witness).
Well, Rafael is at Lyon, while Fabio is currently at Middlesbrough after a spell at Cardiff City, so it’s fair to say that the Da Silva twins weren’t exactly the most successful players to play for Manchester United. Signed from Fluminese in 2008, the pair eventually broke into the United first-team and Rafael especially was a key player for some time. Now Arsene Wenger is looking to bring in his own set of young identical twin defenders.
Davide-Jerome and Gian-Luca Itter-Zwillinge are the twins in question and a deal is not out of the question. German publication Kicker reports that Arsene Wenger is very keen on the pair but faces competition from elsewhere. RB Leipzig are also looking at the youngsters who have both played for the German Under-17 team.
Davide-Jerome is a right-back while his brother plays on the opposite flank. Hopefully any potential transfer to England would work out better than the last time a major club signed a couple of twin defenders.
