Arsenal have opened talks with Borussia Dortmund over a potential move for Marco Reus, according to whoscored.com.
The Gunners have approached the Bundesliga side about a €60 million (£50.9m) move for the Germany international, who they see as a potential replacement for Alexis Sanchez.
Arsene Wenger’s side are willing to offer Reus a five-year deal worth €8m-a-year (£6.8m) to leave Dortmund and move to the Premier League.
Arsenal will only move for Reus if they lose Sanchez but are planning for the future with the Chile international still to agree a new deal.
While the Gunners obviously want to keep Sanchez there are concerns they could lose him in the summer and are putting plans in place in case the worst happens.
Reus has two years to run on his current deal with Thomas Tuchel’s side and has frequently been linked with a move to Arsenal this season.

The Dortmund star is certainly a strong replacement for Sanchez, he can play on either flank or centrally and his pace and power should suit English football.
A major concern must be his fitness record, he has been plagued by injuries in recent seasons and has made only four Bundesliga starts so far this season, scoring once.
With a price tag of over £50m, his fitness record means he would be something of a gamble although there is no doubting his quality.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are also being heavily linked with a move for Alvaro Morata who is believed to be keen to leave Real Madrid this summer after becoming frustrated with his bit-part role over the summer.
