Arsenal will offer Jack Wilshere a new deal in January and are keen for the midfielder to commit his future to the Gunners, according to The Sun.
The 25-year-old has proved his form and fitness this season during a loan spell with Bournemouth and Arsenal now want him to return next season and fight for a first-team place.
Wilshere is one of several Arsenal players in the last 18 months of their current deal and there has been plenty of speculation surrounding his future.
Eddie Howe’s side are reportedly aware they have no chance of landing Wilshere on a permanent basis despite the Gunner clearly enjoying his time on the south coast.
Pundits have been quick to claim that Wilshere’s Arsenal career is all but over having been forced to leave the Emirates in search of regular football but he has been quick to defend his decision to move to Bournemouth.

Wilshere has been quietly impressive for Howe’s men, earning himself a recall to the England side, and helping the Cherries to enjoy a fine season in the Premier League.
Manager Arsene Wenger has previously insisted the club will offer him a new contract and hopefully that can now happen sooner rather than later.
While competition for places in midfield remains fierce at Arsenal, Wilshere is definitely showing signs he can recapture his best form on a consistent basis.
Indeed having Wilshere back to his best and free of injury would very much feel like a new signing for Arsenal with the best years of his career still very much ahead of him.
