Arsenal have been given a huge boost ahead of Saturday’s trip to Swansea with news that Hector Bellerin, Mesut Ozil and Kieran Gibbs are all expected to be fit for the trip to the Liberty Stadium.
Standard Sport report that the trio are all ready to return for the clash while Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck will be monitored ahead of the game.
Bellerin’s return will be warmly welcomed by the Gunners, the full-back picked up an ankle injury in training and missed the FA Cup win over Preston at Deepdale.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles filled in for the Spaniard against the Championship side, but Arsenal have few options at right-back with Mathieu Debuchy injured and Carl Jenkinson out of favour.
Ozil, meanwhile, has been sidelined with a virus over the Christmas period and missed the FA Cup win as well as the Premier League clashes against Bournemouth and Crystal Palace.
However, the Germany international is now back in training with the first-team and could be set for his first appearance of 2017 against Paul Clement’s men.
Elsewhere Kieran Gibbs has recovered from a knee injury picked up in the win over West Brom on Boxing Day and is also in contention for a start.
Francis Coquelin, meanwhile, is still sidelined after picking up a hamstring problem in the draw with Bournemouth.
Arsenal certainly could do with some inspiration having looked uncharacteristically vulnerable in recent weeks.
The Gunners needed a late goal from Oliver Giroud to see off Championship side Preston on Saturday and the France international also grabbed a late equaliser in the 3-3 draw with Bournemouth.
Arsenal have dropped to fifth place in the table and have little room for error if they are to catch leaders Chelsea with Giroud admitting they must start games better.
The Gunners beat Swansea 3-2 in the reverse fixture back in October with Theo Walcott scoring twice and Mesut Ozil also on target, despite finishing the game with 10 men after Granit Xhaka was sent off.
