New Arsenal signing Cohen Bramall could be set to become the club’s quickest player according to his former manager at Hednesford Town Liam McDonald.
The left-back has spent two days training with the Gunners ahead of a proposed January move in a deal believed to be worth £40,000.
McDonald says Arsenal fans will be delighted by his pace but also believes he has potential to go onto big things in north Lonodn.
“He’s lightning quick.” he said via the Birmingham Mail. “I’d put him up there with the quickest I’ve seen since I’ve played and been a football manager.
“He’s a natural athlete and I think with the ability he’s got on the ball he’s got a great opportunity to develop that.
“After a couple of sessions I looked and thought he’s got something.

“The pace he’s got was unbelievable. He was running under 10 seconds [over 100m] in pre-season and straight away his fitness levels were unbelievable.”
McDonald also feels that Bramall could have a similar impact to Jamie Vardy who joined Leicester City from Fleetwood Town and went on to win the Premier League with the Foxes.
“He’s a quiet lad, he’s a real family person,” he said. “His mum and dad come and watch every game as well as his partner.
“He’s excited the first time he went into Arsenal he rang me up on the evening and said he’d been playing with the first team. He was excited.
“Training at Hednesford and then training with Arsenal was a massive step but it’s one he’ll take in his stride.”
“You look at the likes of Vardy and [Premier League] players that have played in non-league and I’m very positive Cohen will go and have a similar impact because he’s just unique in what he’s got.”
McDonald’s words will certainly excite Arsenal fans who will know little about Bramall but will indeed be hoping he can develop into a top talent at the Emirates.
