Laurent Koscielny has appeared to question Arsenal’s tactics and team selection in the aftermath of their 3-1 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The Gunners slumped to defeat to Antonio Conte’s side which leaves them 12 points behind the Blues and all but extinguishes their title hopes.
Injuries meant Arsenal began the game with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain partnering Francis Coquelin in central midfield with Alex Iwobi, Mesut Ozil and Theo Walcott ahead of the duo.
Up front Alexis Sanchez returned to a central role, meaning Olivier Giroud was benched along with Danny Welbeck who has looked bright after returning from a long injury lay-off.
Giroud came off the bench to score a late consolation goal and Koscielny has now given his opinion of the defeat with comments that may not go down too well with his manager.
“I think we played some players in front of others and I think we should have played more as a team and there was space to do so. They hit us on the counter,” he said via The Mirror.

The France international also admitted that his side have very little hope of catching Chelsea now and has demanded an improvement for the visit of Hull on Saturday.
“It will be difficult now. Mathematically, nothing is done but we know that it is going to be very complicated,” he added. “We need to come back to the quality of our game, our passing, movement.”
Arsene Wenger has come in for criticism following an all too familiar display in a crucial match against title rivals and Koscielny’s comments will echo the frustration felt by many Gooners.
