Arsenal are reportedly among a number of clubs to offer Schalke left-back Sead Kolasinac a pre-contract agreement. The 23-year-old’s current deal with the Bundesliga side expires at the end of the season and the full-back has no shortage of suitors across Europe (via Sport Witness).
Amidst the chaos surrounding the club right now, there are also some on-field problems which need to be addressed once the manager and key players have decided their future.
The Gunners have a strong squad in many areas but left-back is a position which could do with some looking into. Nacho Monreal isn’t getting younger and Kieran Gibbs won’t stay at the club forever as back-up to the Spaniard.
With Hector Bellerin on the other side, the full-back positions are areas which Arsene Wenger has utilised offensively in recent seasons and maybe it is time for an attacking upgrade.
One target the club seems to be pursuing is Schalke’s Sead Kolasinac. The 23-year-old is a bit of a defensive all-rounder but has moved to the left flank this season and flourishing.
Bild reports that Arsenal are interested in the Bosnian international but that they will face some stiff competition. Milan, Juventus, Roma, Manchester City and Liverpool are all interested in the full-back according to the German publication.

Sead Kolasanic’s name was linked with Arsenal several months ago and it’s good to see that still is the case. The defender has had a very impressive season and would certainly add something to the team. However, it certainly wouldn’t be a surprise to see Kolasanic turn down Arsenal in favour of a more stable club.
