Arsenal take on Southampton in the Premier League this evening and we think he will start a couple of players carrying injury worries.
Matchday: Team News – Predicted Lineup – Match Highlights
Match: Southampton v Arsenal
Stadium: St. Mary’s Stadium
Kick-Off (GMT): Wed 10 May 19:45
Here’s how we think Arsenal will line up:
GK) Petr Cech
Petr Cech will undoubtedly start in goals after a good performance against Manchester United on the weekend.

- Mahrez Considering Arsenal Offer After Giving Up On Barcelona
- Liverpool Confident Of Sealing £30 Million Transfer Of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
RCB) Rob Holding
We think Rob Holding will once again start at centre-back after an impressive second-half display against Manchester United. Arsene Wenger had some kind words to say about the defender in his pre-match press conference and Holding will want to repay the faith.
CB) Laurent Koscielny
Despite his injury concerns, we think Laurent Koscielny will keep his place in the centre of the Arsenal defence from the off.
LCB) Nacho Monreal
Nacho Monreal has put in a string of quietly effective performances at left centre-back of the this Gunners back three. We think it will continue this evening.
RWB) Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain should keep his place at right wing-back. The Englishman looks to have secured a starting spot in this new position over the Spaniard Hector Bellerin.
CM) Aaron Ramsey
Aaron Ramsey should keep his place in midfield. The Welshman has benefitted more than almost anyone from this new system after a string of impressive performances.
CM) Granit Xhaka
Granit Xhaka trained on Tuesday and should be fit enough to start alongside Aaron Ramsey.
LWB) Kieran Gibbs
We think Arsene Wenger will stick with the same back three meaning that Kieran Gibbs will keep his place at right wing-back.
RAM) Mesut Özil
The German will undoubtedly start.
LAM) Alexis Sanchez
Alexis Sanchez will start and we think he will remain as the left attacking midfielder in this front three, allowing space for the striker up top.
ST) Danny Welbeck
We think that forward will be Danny Welbeck. After his goal against Manchester United and eye-catching cameo against Manchester City in the FA Cup, it’s safe to say that Welbeck has outshone Olivier Giroud in this formation.
