Arsene Wenger has revelead Arsenal want to sign two or three players this summer as the club bids to strengthen their squad after a fifth placed finish.
The Gunners are being heavily linked with a move for Kylian Mbappe currently, with the latest speculation claiming the club will return with an improved £95m bid for the youngster.
Wenger has also revealed his admiration for Riyad Mahrez, with the Leicester man having already announced his intention to quit the Foxes this summer.
Speaking about the club’s transfer plans, Wenger outlined a desire to bring in a couple of players, having already insisted Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez will stay.
“Between a maximum of two or three,” he told beIN SPORTS when asked how many signings he is expecting to make. “We cannot spend as much as many other clubs because some clubs have external resources that allow them to be basically unlimited.
“We can spend money because we have managed the club wel. Let’s not forget the amount of money spent is not a guarantee of success. We have to be clear what we understand as a big signing. Is [Rob] Holding a big signing for you or not?”
