Arsenal have reportedly begun talks with Borussia Dortmund over a move for striker Olivier Giroud, according to the Mirror.
The report claims Giroud favours a move the Bundesliga club, despite interest from Premier League sides Everton and West Ham.
Arsenal are believed to want £35 million for the France international, who only signed a new deal at the club earlier this year.
Arsene Wenger has repeatedly insisted he wants to keep hold of Giroud while the player himself has insisted he wants to stay.
However, the arrival of club-record signing Alexandre Lacazette has poured doubt over his future, with Arsenal also needing to trim their wage bill.
Dortmund are expected to lose Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer and will be searching for a replacement for their top scorer.

Chelsea appear to be leading the race for the 28-year-old, who in turn is expected to replace Diego Costa at Stamford Bridge.
Dortmund could prove an attractive destination for Giroud, who may see more regular football than if he remains with the Gunners.
The club can also offer Champions League football, unlike Arsenal, which could be another factor in his decision-making.
Despite seeing his playing time reduced last season, Giroud still played a crucial role for the Gunners and scored some incredibly important goals.
Although he may have to get used to sitting on the bench if he does stay, there’s no doubt he remains an incredibly important member of the squad and will be missed should he leave.
