Arsenal are reportedly closing in on a £45 million deal for Monaco winger Thomas Lemar, who has already agreed terms over a move to north London.
According to The Sun, the French side are willing to allow the youngster to depart even though they have already lost key men Bernardo Silva, Benjamin Mendy and Tiemoué Bakayoko.
In fact Lemar is apparently hoping the deal can now be concluded quickly, hopefully before Monaco’s clash with Paris-Saint Germain in Morocco on Saturday.
If the report proves correct it would be a massive boost to Arsenal ahead of the new season, with the club managing to land one of their top summer targets.
Arsenal have reportedly already had two bids turned down, with Monaco initially demanding £80m for Lemar, but it appears some kind of breakthrough has been made.
Should Lemar arrive it would seal a really great summer of spending for Arsenal with Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette also having arrived.

The arrival of Lemar, would also help to ease the potential disappointment of losing Alexis Sanchez, should the Chilean depart this summer amid huge speculation over his future.
Lemar contributed nine goals and 10 assists in 28 Ligue 1 starts last season and is one of the most exciting young talents on the continent at the moment.
Along with Lacazette, his arrival would really boost the club’s firepower, as Arsenal bid to challenge for the title after the disappointing fifth place finish last time out.
