Arsenal are reportedly ready to spend heavily again, should Alexis Sanchez leave this summer, with the club keen on Moussa Dembele and Virgil van Dijk, according to the Express.
Sanchez’s future continues to be uncertain, although his latest comments saying he wants to play Champions League football, suggest he wants out.
While Arsenal are reluctant to sell, they realise he could leave for free next year when his contract expires, and may be willing to sanction a move abroad.
In case that does happen, the Gunners are already drawing up plans for his replacement and are eyeing Demble and Van Dijk.
Dembele has just enjoyed a stunning season with Celtic, scoring 38 goals in all competitions, to attract interest from a host of clubs.
Although Arsenal have already signed Alexandre Lacazette, the loss of Sanchez would be a big blow, and extra attacking options would be required.

However, Dembele is not a natural replacement for the Chilean, and it would be interesting to see where he would fit in with Lacazette.
Van Dijk, meanwhile, would be an excellent signing, having proved himself to be one of the strongest centre-backs in the Premier League.
The Dutchman would undoubtedly improve the Arsenal defence, and could reportedly cost as much as £45m.
While the loss of Sanchez would be a huge blow, his most recent comments suggest he does not want to sign a new deal, and it may well be best for all involved to begin planning for life without him.
