Deportivo La Coruna are reportedly prepared to offer Arsenal forward Lucas Perez a 10-year-deal, followed by a role as technical secretary of the club.
According to Spanish outlet DXT Campeon, Perez may have even already agreed the move, although Deportivo are yet to agree a fee with Arsenal.
The forward only arrived at Arsenal from Depor last summer, but it is widely expected he will depart after just one season, having become frustrated with a lack of game time.
Deportivo president Tino Fernandez has previously insisted there was only a “remote” chance of the club re-signing Perez. However, a return to his former club always looked the most likely option, and could now be back on the agenda.
The 28-year-old was left out of Arsenal’s pre-season tour of Australia and China, which has only heightened speculation the player will leave in this transfer window.
Perez managed seven goals in his debut season at Arsenal, but made just two Premier League starts, and was largely resigned to a bench role.

Manager Arsene Wenger has admitted he would love to keep Perez, but did concede that he deserves more game time that he has given him.
It does look as though we have seen the last of Perez in an Arsenal shirt, and if Deportivo can agree a deal with the Gunners, a return looks the most likely option at this point.
