Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed that striker Alexandre Lacazette will join Arsenal in the next “one or two days”.
Speculation has reached fever pitch over the Gunners’ attempts to land the France international, with claims he is on his way to London for a medical and to sign a deal.
Aulas has now confirmed the deal is very much on and that Arsenal should finally land their man, very shortly indeed.
He admitted to Le Progres (via Standard Sport) the deal would be complete in “one or two days”, and then continued: “The transfer will be between €45 million and €50m. Being close to €50m is unique, and will probably be a record for Arsenal and Olympique Lyonnais as well.
“We will probably reach a new record, it’s not a small transfer, €50m for a player trained by our club.”
This is a huge and really exciting update after weeks of speculation and after claims and counter-claims surrounding Lacazette.

It looks that Arsenal will finally land their man, and one of their top targets of this transfer window so far.
Who they will target after Lacazette remains to be seen, with Kylian Mbappe and Thomas Lemar continuing to be heavily linked with summer moves to the Gunners.
