Arsenal have reportedly made a club-record £90 million bid for Monaco midfielder Thomas Lemar (via The Daily Mail).
Well wouldn’t this be the story of deadline day? Arsenal have reportedly made a mammoth offer for Thomas Lemar in the last few minutes.
The Frenchman has attracted the interest of the Gunners all summer long and while a deal has looked close to completion at times, it appeared to be dead in the water as recently as this morning.
Liverpool and FC Barcelona were reportedly in the race to sign the Frenchman whose club were eager to keep hold of.
Now, various outlets are reporting that the Gunners have made a club-record £90 million offer for Lemar, potentially as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez.
Manchester City have made a second improved bid for the Chilean in the region of £60 million which the Gunners could well accept.

It’s still unclear whether this bid would be enough for Monaco to part company with Thomas Lemar but given the last few days, it’s a great sign of intent from the club. Let’s hope a deal can be agreed as soon as possible.
