Arsenal have reportedly offered Alexis Sanchez a new deal worth £300,000 a week, according to the Daily Mail.
The Chilean has so far resisted all attempts by Arsenal to extend his contract, and it remains to be seen if he will sign the new deal now on offer.
Wage demands had reportedly been a huge sticking point for Sanchez, and Arsenal have now upped their offer from a previous one of £275,000 a week.
Arsene Wenger continues to insist Sanchez will not be sold this summer, and speculation has claimed he is now willing to remain at the club for one more season.
However, his absence from the Community Shield, coupled with Wenger’s revelation that he will miss the game against Leicester, and possibly Stoke, has further fuelled rumours over his future.

Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City both remain linked with Sanchez, although neither side appear to have made a bid just yet, despite the forward now being in the final year of his contract.
However, other reports today claim Wenger is not confident Sanchez will extend, with the Arsenal boss having reportedly told SFR Sports he is not not “super optimistic” the Chilean will renew.
Arsenal certainly appear to be doing all they can to hold onto their star man, at least for another season, but that will not stop the speculation that’s for sure.
