Arsenal are reportedly struggling to offload a host of players including Kieran Gibbs and Carl Jenkinson amid high wage demands (via The Mirror).
With Premier League rules stating that a club’s wage bill cannot increase by more than £7 million over the course of a year, the Gunners are going to have to sell.
Arsenal are well known for paying their players well and with a large squad in need of trimming, Arsene Wenger is faced with a headache to get players earning around £70,000 per week off the payroll
Lucas Perez, David Ospina, Mathieu Debuchy, Kieran Gibbs, Calum Chambers and Carl Jenkinson have all been told they can leave the club with just a handful of appearances between them last season.
A host of clubs are interested in Kieran Gibbs with several more Premier League sides looking at the likes of Jenkinson and Chambers.
Debuchy, Ospina and Perez have been linked with moves away but as of yet, there have been no outgoings at the Emirates this summer.

It remains to be seen whether Arsenal can sell all of these players. There is little chance that the likes of Debuchy and Jenkinson will make another appearance for the club and it seems that Arsene Wenger is ready to cash in on fringe stars like Ospina and Chambers. Let’s hope something can get solved quickly with the club still in need of a couple of incomings.
