Arsenal defender Gabriel Paulista is set to leave Arsenal for Spanish side Valencia in a €10 million deal in the coming days (via The Mirror).
Arsene Wenger spoke about the need to sell some fringe players last week and it seems that the club is moving quickly in that regard.
In a story which has developed very quickly, Gabriel Paulista is set to join Valencia in the coming days for a fee believed to be around €10 million.
The Brazilian joined the Gunners in January 2015 and has made over 60 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions.
Gabriel has been used mostly as a backup during his time at the Emirates, firstly to Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny, and secondly to Shkodran Mustafi and Hector Bellerin.

The former-Villareal man has struggled to hold down a starting spot at the Emirates and the emergence of Rob Holding hasn’t helped him.
It’s always a shame to see a player leave but in the case of Gabriel Paulista, it’s the right decision. He’s been a decent player for the Gunners but isn’t quite at the level required to remain at the club. Instead, Arsene Wenger can now focus on the development of players like Holding in the future.
