Arsenal youngster Jeff Reine-Adelaide is set to leave the club on loan with Ligue 1 side Nantes the favourites to get the Frenchman’s signature (via Sport Witness.
One man whose Arsenal career hasn’t exactly gone as planned is Jeff Reine-Adelaide. The Frenchman signed for the club from Rens in 2015 alongside teammate Ismael Bennacer.
Gunners supporters became aware of the Frenchman during the 2015 Emirates Cup with some impressive play over the two days.
Reine-Adelaide eventually made some first-team appearances last season and it was expected that the 19-year-old would kick on and really stake a claim for a starting spot similar to the likes of Alex Iwobi.
So, it was quite a surprise when France Football reported last month that Arsene Wenger “didn’t want” the midfielder at Arsenal any longer.

Now, it seems that Reine-Adelaide is close to a loan move away from the club with Ligue 1 side Nantes at the top of the list.
It’s unclear whether or not Reine-Adelaide will actually complete this move but it could be the best case for all parties. The former Lens man needs first-team football and it’s clear that he won’t get much at the Emirates. Let’s hope he excels and Nantes and returns a better player.
