Jack Wilshere is set to return to the field in an Arsenal shirt for the first time next week as the Under-23 side take on Derby County (via The Evening Standard).
It’s been a long time coming and many people thought it may never happen but we should soon see the return of Jack Wilshere.
The English midfielder spent last season on-loan at AFC Bournemouth and since his return to the club has been strongly linked with a move away from the Emirates.
Wilshere cut his spell with the Cherries short after suffering an injury towards the end of last season. He returned to training two weeks ago.
Now, the 25-year-old is set to return to the field for the Arsenal Under-23s with Derby County their opponents on Monday.

Speculation still reigns over the midfielder’s future. Wilshere’s current contract expires at the end of the season and with no indication of a new deal being agreed, it’s shaping up to be a make or break year for the Englishman.
It’s great to see Jack Wilshere back in action in an Arsenal shirt. Now that he’s fit and has some football behind we can hopefully see more of the player we’ve been promised for so many years. Let’s hope he gets through Monday’s match unscathed and impresses enough to be knocking on the first-team door soon.
