Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has revealed the real reason why he joined Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund in January (via The Mirror).
Aside from the win and Petr Cech securing his milestone clean sheet, Sunday’s match against Watford was also a good afternoon for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The forward grabbed his third goal and first assist in a Gunners shirt to set up his former Dortmund teammate, Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Aubameyang scored Arsenal’s second and spoke about the 3-0 victory after the match.
“It was a bit difficult at the beginning but I am feeling better. I didn’t play a lot in January so it was difficult to find the rhythm. Now I am feeling better. I work hard, I work a lot in the last weeks and I am happy because I feel better.”

“Of course, I am really happy because I am here because of him.” Aubameyang said.
“He had the interest in me so I am happy to play for him.”
Those are some interesting if slightly unsurprising quotes from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Gabon international looked a lot sharper on Sunday afternoon than he has in recent weeks. Perhaps the extra training is working well for him.
