An amazing young boy with a great build, defensive minded,an engine and distance shooter, can net more goals than any other CDM if he joins arsenal this season.
sir_jafac on Where is the exodus?
Over this summer I can’t even recall how many times I read that there is going to be a mass exodus at Arsenal with the likes of Bendtner, Arshavin, Chamakh, Squillaci, and various others leaving the team to free up room for new players. More importantly, getting rid of these “deadwood” players would help fix our problematic salary structure. However, this mass exodus has not yet materialized. And there are only 4 days left in the transfer window for anything to occur. Arsene suggested after the Stoke match that we will be active in the coming days with players potentially leaving and new players coming in, so I hope we have some offers on the table for the surplus.
My question is, if we cannot offload all of our “deadwood”, what should we do with these players? Should they wallow on the bench or in the reserves as they did last season? Or should we try to play them wherever possible to showcase them for the next transfer window?
pathyjr on Jesus Navas
Well if he is to replace Walcott, I am sure no! Dont think Wenger would wanna sell him after loosing RvP and Song this season. Clear the deadwoods and maybe then look for Navas. Possibly to replace Arshavin instead! But surely would be a great acquisition.

I think we can do this IF we get a good D mid, Jack comes back strong, and Giroud is the player we think he is. Some big if’s, but with good spirit in the clubhouse it can be done.
americangunnerfan on salary raise…. maybe
[extract] The salary structure at Arsenal has been Wenger’s doing, not that of the Board. The Board gives him the budget, he decides how to allocate it in terms of salary…
