Arsenal v Marseille
UEFA Champions League
Kick off: November 26, 2013 7:45 PM BST
A fantastic start to the game, and two goals from an unlikely source. Jack Wilshere’s first brace ever gave us a 2-0 win, and puts us in command of our group. One point against Napoli will guarantee us top spot. Here are the player ratings:

Wojciech Szczesny | 8.0: Yet another superb performance from the Polish shot stopper, barely had anything to do most of the game, but when he was called on he made a couple of amazing saves. Reacted quickly when he was needed.
Bacary Sagna | 7.0: Sagna was great in the first half, putting in some great crosses and working his touchline well. Quietened down in the second half.
Laurent Koscielny | 7.5: Solid defensive performance, and another clean sheet. Benefits from having Flamini in front of him.
Per Mertesacker | 7.5: The centre backs didn’t have much to do for most of the game. Struggled slightly with Thauvin when he came on, but overall a good defensive display.
Nacho Monreal | 7.5: I thought the Spanish left back did a great job coming back into the side, he was linking up well with Rosicky and Özil down the left side and getting forward a lot, but was rarely caught out defensively.
Aaron Ramsey | 7.5: Missed an absolute sitter in the first half, and misplaced a few passes. Didn’t look like it was going to be his day, but he grew into the game and was involved in a lot of Arsenal’s attacking play. As always he was seen all over the pitch with his fantastic work rate.
Mathieu Flamini| 7.5: Was aggressive and full of energy, his vocal and commanding nature was vital in the absence of Arteta, he could be seen screaming at players to press the opposition or get back into position.
Mesut Özil | 5.5: The first half was one he will definitely want to forget, poor passing, dispossessed on several occasions and a missed penalty to compound it all. He came to life far more in the second half, and looked a lot more dangerous. He was given incorrectly offside a couple of times when he was through on goal, and he provided the assist for Wilshere’s second goal.
Thomas Rosicky | 6.0: As always it is hard to fault the Czech international’s effort. He was getting involved whenever he could, closing down, driving forward and rarely stopped moving. His passing and decision making however, was woeful tonight. One of his misplaced passes almost led to a Marseille goal, Szczesny mopped up well though.
Jack Wilshere | 8.5: (MotM) An unbelievable performance by Jack tonight. Scoring after 30 seconds and then again midway through the second half. His passing was excellent for the most part and he was getting stuck in and putting good tackles in. His runs into the box were a constant threat and he was one of the main reasons we were getting behind Marseille’s lines so easily. Really hope he can keep scoring this season.
Olivier Giroud | 7.5: Linked well and held the ball up superbly, he is so unappreciated by many Gooners. He didn’t score tonight but he creates so much space for other players to run in behind, and makes some very unselfish runs.
Theo Walcott | 7.25: Although he wasn’t on the pitch long, I thought he had a brilliant impact. He was getting into great positions and making great runs, once he settles back in I can see him getting back into last season’s scoring form.
Santi Cazorla | N/A: Was pretty poor for his short time on the pitch, his passing wasn’t quite on point, and the one good shooting chance he got he blazed well over the bar.
Mikel Arteta | N/A: Was only on for the dying minutes, controlled the midfield well with Flamini.
