Although nothing is confirmed as of yet, several of the Arsenal squad numbers for the 2016/17 season have been leaked online.
Alexis Sanchez, Petr Cech, and Francis Coquelin are all set for a change, while imminent signing Granit Xhaka’s number has also been revealed (via the Metro).
Pictures were leaked on Saturday afternoon showing Xhaka in an Arsenal shirt, surely confirming that he’d be the first Arsenal signing through the door this summer.

The Swiss international is apparently set to take his favoured number 34, which Francis Coquelin will have vacated. The French midfielder will instead take the number 8, which Mikel Arteta will no longer be using as he looks set to retire.
Alexis Sanchez will trade in his 17 strip for a 7, which – similarly to Arteta – Tomas Rosicky will have left available. Finally, it looks as though Cech will become our No.1 in both name and number next season, with the former Chelsea man set to take over from Wojciech Szczesny.

We’ll have to wait and see whether these changes are accurate, and we won’t know for sure until something official is announced. All these squad numbers would make sense though, so it wouldn’t be at all surprising to see these turn out to be correct.
Arsenal transfer news
The fans are far more concentrated on new signings and who will come through the door this summer rather than what numbers they’ll have on their strips, and hopefully we’ll see a couple of players follow Xhaka to the Emirates.
