January signing Krystian Bielik could be set to make his first appearance for Arsenal this Tuesday night, with the youngster tipped to play a part in our Premier League clash with Leicester City, according to the Daily Star
Arsene Wenger originally claimed the 17-year-old would be involved in the Under-21s match against Newcastle this past Monday, but the Polish star was inexplicably pulled from the team at the last minute.
“Serge will play on Monday night at Newcastle, with Bielik. Bielik is coming along very well,” Wenger previously said.
His absence has prompted speculation that he may be involved against Leicester in some form, although he is unlikely to start the game.
He has been training with the first team lately, and despite his age has been hugely impressive during the sessions.
Bielik was brought in from Legia Warsaw in January for a fee of £2.5m, and was initially believed to be one for the future. After impressing a number of senior figures at the club however, it is looking more and more likely that he will be handed a first team opportunity sooner rather than later.
