The Frenchman has had some truly inspiring fairy-tale moments in his return which included a winner in his first match back for the gunners against Leeds United and more recently the winner against Sunderland deep in stoppage time in what could be his last Premier League match.
Henry said on a possible return:
It’s always difficult for me to say no. If they need some help one day, I’ll be around. You can never say never. I never thought I was going to come back.
Who knows if I can say that this was definitely the end? That’s why I celebrated so much with everyone. I knew it could be my last Premier League game.
It was an amazing feeling. It has always been a pleasure to come here to Sunderland. I have always found this a very special place to play football.
It was a fantastic atmosphere and overall it was so special for me. To be able to celebrate with all the Arsenal fans, who have come such a long way – it really was magical and so emotional.
I am sure every Arsenal fan would be open to a return of the Arsenal legend. While his pace and athleticism is not as menacing as it once was, it is clear to see his desire, his effect on player morale and of course that phenomenal Thierry Henry finishing are still all very high!
