It is no secret that Roberto Mancini is after the Dutchman and is no doubt ready to throw an abundance of money his way to see him ply his trade for Manchester City next season.
Toure said to The Manchester Evening News:
Robin is a top player. I’ve played with him, I know him and he’s a great man.
At City we have great players and the club does what it wants in transfers.
But, for me, if Robin comes it’s great because I know what he can do. You have to build your squad every year to do better. To win the Champions League is very difficult as we have seen.
With Van Persie recently releasing a statement revealing he will not be extending his contract at Arsenal, the media have gone into overtime and started to link a number 0f big club’s with the PFA Player of the Year.
Of the clubs, concrete contenders are Manchester City and Italian giants Juventus, while Manchester United and PSG seem to be more on the fringes.

Personally speaking, I have no doubt Arsenal will cash-in on the Dutchman with the sales of Nasri and Clichy perfect examples of Arsenal’s strategy when it comes to players on the last year of their contracts.
It will be yet another dark day for Arsenal when he does leave, but I agree with Arsenal great Ray Parlour in that Arsenal must ‘get as much money as they can and then reinvest the money in the squad.’ Whether or not the board permits such a move though leaves a lot to be desired…
