The Daily Mail have revealed that Nicklas Bendtner believes the future isn’t in his hands as he feels homesick for London and refused to rule a return to his parent club.
The on-loan Sunderland striker admitted he barely leaves his house as he has looked to calm his lifestyle and often returns to London to see his Son.
His quotes are suggesting that the Denmark international may actually be keen to return to the Gunners after his season-long loan despite admitting he never wants to return to the Emirates in the past.
The self titled ‘best striker in the world’ has finally rediscovered some form that has evaded him for quite some time after netting his fourth goal against City in five Premier League appearances. He seems to have sorted his priorities after some Mario Balotelli-esk incidents earlier this season, he said:
I spend all of my time in the house, I don’t really go outside the door. When I do it’s mainly to see my son living in London.
It wasn’t the same in London, it’s a total culture change. All my friends are back there as well.

The difference is massive, of course. I don’t think I’ve ever lived so far from London. I had a loan with Birmingham but it was only two hours from London, so I could easily just drive there all the time.
I have still enjoyed my time at the club (Sunderland), that’s the main thing – that the football is decent. Of course the lifestyle is important but I knew there would be a change when I moved.
[on staying with Sunderland] I haven’t given it much thought.
I really like the club and the manager has done really well since he came in here but I haven’t given it any thought yet.
I still have two years left with Arsenal, it isn’t just up to me. Ideally it would only be in my hands but I’m just waiting to see in the summer. We’ve got the Euros, then in the summer after the Euros we will see where we are.
Many believed Bendtner has burnt his bridges with Arsenal after declaring earlier this season that he does not want to return (full story) but Wenger has always maintained that we can not rule out a return for the ‘Great Dane’ after his spell on Wearside.
He has always had the potential to be a decent striker, and still has with the Danish international only 24-years-old, but has been unfortunate with Arsenal preferring Van Persie and Adebayor over the years, but he is better than both Chamakh and Park at present. His attitude certainly wavered towards the end of last season, but he may have sorted his life out and could potentially be in red and white next season.
Do you think the Gunners should use him next season? Or sell him on? Tough decisions for Wenger this summer especially with Vela performing well on loan in Spain..
