While Squillaci deservedly needs to go, I do feel for Chamakh who started his Arsenal career brightly but has failed to rediscover any kind of form which saw him scoring a healthy ratio of goals when he arrived.
Squillaci is rumoured to be allowed to leave on loan or permanently for a fee of approximately £2m and has fallen heavily out of favour following the arrival of German Per Mertesacker.
It is also reported that Spanish keeper Manuel Almunia will also be allowed to leave following his fall down the pecking order, where Arsenal are expected to let him leave for approximately £3oo,ooo.
If Chamakh does indeed go it will definitely by interesting to see who will fill his boots and become the back-up to talisman Robin van Persie. Rumours have been circling around the likes of Podolski who many Arsenal fans seem to be keen on. What do you guys think? If Chamakh were to go, who is likely to fill his boots?
