According to reliable news source ESPN Soccernet, Arsenal’s second choice left back Armand Traore is reportedly undergoing a medical at QPR, with Brazilian international Andre Santos lined up as a replacement
Traore has made just one Premier League appearance for the Gunners in the last 15 months (the 8-2 defeat to Manchester United) and had done little to warrant his place in the team , despite spending time on loan and Portsmouth and Juventus over the past few seasons.
Gunners fans will be pleased to hear that we are now reportedly close to securing a deal for Fenerbahce’s left-back Andre Santos.
It is suggested by Turkish media that Arsenal have turned their attention to Brazil international Santos with Traore on the brink of his move to QPR
Santos, 28, has played for Brazil on 22 occasions and joined Fener from Corinthians in 2009. It is claimed a €7 million deal has been struck with Arsenal, ahead of a medical on Tuesday.
We NEED and out and out left back that isn’t injury prone and can play at the top level, so it seems that Santos will fit that bill nicely. We missed out big time on Jose Enrique, he would have been a perfect signing. So this is promising news as Traore is pretty awful. It’s all ‘go’ for the next few days for the Gunners.
