With Wolfsburg struggling in the Bundesliga, Magath is eager to strengthen his squad when the winter transfer window opens next month, and he rates Rosicky highly who has struggled for first team action this season.
The Czech international has been dogged with injuries during his five year spell in North London after joining from Dortmund in 2006, and youngster Aaron Ramsey and new-boy Mikel Arteta are the preferred options for Wenger’s starting XI.
Magath told Bild of his admiration for Rosicky:
(Tomas) is a good player, he is fit no question about it, only a few years ago every top club was after him.
This could be a decent opportunity to offload Rosicky who is a decent squad player, but has no real future at the club. There are other players that should be sold before the Czech midfielder, but if he is transferred then that could make way for Wenger to buy Gotze who can provide direction competition with Ramsey for a starting berth.
Speaking of Aaron Ramsey, the Welsh captain has hailed the club’s young starlets and insists their developing midfield relationship is paving the way for a bright future.

The attacking midfielder heads the queue of an exciting young lineup of talent, with the likes of Jack Wilshere, Francis Coquelin and Emmanuel Frimpong impressing this season. The 20-year-old believes it is key that they continue to work together day in, day out to strengthen their bond and build a strong foundation for years to come at the Emirates.
Ramsey told Arsenal Player:
There’s plenty of young talent there and we have to bond even more and gel as a team throughout the years, hopefully we’ll make it successful for many years.
It’s important that you have that core, that you’ve been together for a few years and you understand each other.
It’ll only make us stronger because you realise what to do on the pitch.
Ramsey has had a breakthrough season, but still has a long way to go to be a week in, week out first team choice. He lacks consistency and can sometimes be completely elusive during a match, however can produce moments of brilliance. With Wilshere returning to action soon there will be plenty of competition for places in the midfield, with Diaby and Rosicky fighting too.
So is Rosicky’s time now up at the Emirates? The Gunners have a strong youthful midfield that is developing well, but still requires some experience still which the Czech international brings to the table. What do you think?
