Dan Crowley has been receiving rave reviews since rising through the ranks at the Arsenal academy, and looks like a real star of the future. The young midfielder is looking to secure himself regular first team football this upcoming season, with a loan move to Birmingham City on the cards, according to the Birmingham Mail.
The Championship side are looking to bolster their ranks ahead of the new season, but with limited funds manager Gary Rowett has been forced into seeking loan moves.
Crowley has been dubbed “the next Jack Wilshere” (via the Daily Star), and has impressed hugely since being picked up by the club in 2013.
He is a real goalscoring threat from midfield, and is currently one of the most promising players in our youth system. A chance to play for Birmingham’s first team could be huge for his development, and if the move comes off he could come back a vastly improved player.
Despite his talent, he is unlikely to get anywhere near the Arsenal team. There are a host of talented playmakers ahead of him in the pecking order, including Jack Wilshere who he has been likened to.
