According to the mail, Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas is doing all he possibly can to force a move to the Camp Nou. It has been revealed that Barcelona president, Sandro Rossell, has been listening to Fabregas’ plea and was already revealed last week by Arsenal chairman, Peter Hill-Wood, that Barcelona had begun formal negotiations with the Gunners.
Although recently stating his happiness at Arsenal, it is no surprise that Fabregas and Barcelona have gone hand in hand in many sporting headlines in this transfer window and once again Barcelona are trying to get their man for lower than the Gunners valuation of £35 with Rossell stating: “Guardiola knows the values of players and Cesc’s is less than 40million (euros). Barcelona will offer less and if they (Arsenal) don’t accept, then he won’t come. Pep knows the club is not well-off in terms of money.” A point of view that can be largely pinpointed due to the lower number of remaining years on his contract and a understandable dip in form this season largely as a result of a recurring hamstring injury.
With talks of a move heating up, it seems many fans are on the fence about whether to cash-in on Fabregas now and use the funds to find a suitable replacement or try keep our talismanic captain at the Emirates for another season. What do you think? Is it worth keeping a captain that no longer has a burning passion for Arsenal or is our captain a necessity for future success with his unique style of creative play and skill?
