Hector Bellerin has very quickly become not only one of the brightest prospects in world football, but also one of the best right-backs in the game.
The 20-year-old was asked to name his dream XI out of players he’s played alongside, and made a number of questionable choices (via the Daily Mail).
Below is his fantasy XI, as well as a quote from Bellerin about each of the players:
GK) Petr Cech – Arsenal
Unquestionably one of the best goalkeepers in world football, a fact Bellerin clearly recognises.
“He is not just a goalkeeper, but a person that I rate a lot.”

RB) Bacary Sagna – Manchester City
Sagna was one of the best right-backs in the league before he made the switch to Manchester City, where he’s been barely more than a benchwarmer.
“He was a great mentor for me, especially defensively.”
LB) Jose Luis Gaya – Valencia
Gaya is a player that many fans would love to see at Arsenal, and his role for Valencia as a pacy, attacking full-back is very similar to Bellerin’s.
“I have played with him since Under 16s for the national team and he is a player that I think will go really far in his career.”
CB) Laurent Koscielny – Arsenal
Bellerin’s comments on the Frenchman say it all, as he really is one of the top centre-backs in world football at the moment.
“He is one of the best centre backs in the world right now.”
CB) Nacho Monreal – Arsenal
Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista can’t be thrilled that a left-back has got in at CB ahead of them, but it seems it’s as much to do with personality and what Monreal offers off the pitch as well as his qualities on the field.
“These kind of players that will help you and are with you in any single moment when things go wrong it is nice.”
