Cardiff v Arsenal
Barclays Premier League
Cardiff City Stadium
Kick off: November 30, 2013 3:00 PM BST
Cardiff have troubled the big teams this season when playing at home, so some are saying that this game could be tricky for Arsenal. But Arsenal were looking dominant for large portions of the first half, creating good chances.
Wilshere scored after just thirty seconds in Marseille, and he almost did it again after just a minute today. Rattling the cross bar after Ramsey found him in plenty of space; very unlucky.

We looked well in control of the game, but a couple of defensive mix ups almost allowing Cardiff in, showed that we had to take our chances. There was a bit of a scary moment when Sagna collided with Mertesacker; the big German requiring lengthy treatment and a change of shirts.
There was a shocking moment from our front man, Giroud put through on goal and in a great position. He thinks he’s offside from an Özil flick, but the linesman judges that the German didn’t touch it so no flag. Giroud (and everyone else) stopped anyway, giving the defender time to get back and the chance is gone. Giroud couldn’t believe what he’d done, and neither could Arsene Wenger.
Arsenal kept creating chances though, and playing in Wales there was only one man who could possibly have scored. A great ball in from Özil had plenty of pace on it, Ramsey meeting it and directing the header perfectly over the keeper and into the top corner. It was a muted celebration though paying respect to his form club.
Cardiff responded well to going a goal down, looking threatening from set pieces and almost taking advantage of Arsenal momentarily switching off. But never creating any real chances.
Ramsey and Giroud both had decent chances to double the lead throughout the half, neither taking them though.
The whistle went, and the half time score was 1-0. Arsenal looking good for their lead.
