Chief executive Ivan Gazidis has revealed that he is not happy with Arsenal’s season, and is expecting a better return next year.
The victory over Burnley on Saturday meant that we are currently enjoying an excellent eight-match winning run, which has almost certainly guaranteed Champions League football yet again next season. It has also nearly brought us back into the Premier League’s title race. We are now Chelsea’s nearest challengers, and while the Blues are probably now out of reach, prolonging our great form could bring us right into the picture.
We also have a FA Cup semi-final with Championship side Reading at Wembley next weekend.
Nevertheless, our struggles early on in the season, as well as our frustrating premature exit from Europe at the hands of Monaco has overshadowed what could have been a wonderful campaign.

The Daily Mirror report that Gazidis has very much written this season off as a disappointment, but feels that with the squad that Arsene Wenger currently has at his disposal, next season could be a much more glorious one.
“We are not happy but we are going to keep pushing to the end and see how far we can go.
“We have a squad that’s clearly coming together. It’s a relatively young squad so it will continue to improve,” he said.
