Santi Cazorla has given us a huge boost ahead of our clash with Swansea, with the Spaniard debunking the rumours that he could be out for pretty much the whole season.
Arsene Wenger’s recent comments suggested the midfielder would be out for significantly longer than originally thought, with the Frenchman claiming tendonitis in Cazorla’s Achilles was causing him a problem (via The Telegraph).
He wasn’t confident about the 31-year-old’s chances of returning in April, but it seems he’s still on course to return at the end of March.
Surprised by the piece of news appeared in press, deadlines are going as planned. I will be ready on 1st April. #workinghard

This is a huge boost, as Cazorla has been a big miss for us. His influence on the game hasn’t always been as noticeable since he dropped into his deeper role, but he’s a massive part of our setup and it will be fantastic to have him back in the side.
He’s obviously still some way off returning, but the fact that he’ll be back before the end of the season is fantastic news.

Arsenal transfer news
It’s strange that the seemingly incorrect news of a set-back appeared to come from Wenger originally, but perhaps something was just lost in translation. Regardless though, it will just be good to see the midfield magician back in action.
