Stadium: Emirates Stadium
Kick-Off (GMT): Thu 15 Mar 20:05
What a good way to end what has been an excellent eight days for Arsenal.
The Gunners followed up a first-leg 2-0 victory over Milan with a comfortable 3-0 Premier League win over Watford at the weekend. All of that would’ve been undone with a loss this evening and things looked to be going that way shortly before the break.
Hakan Calhanoglu picked up the ball 35 yards from goal and unleashed a wonderful swerving shot into the far bottom corner of Ospina’s goal.
The Gunners needed to respond and they did just that. Danny Welbeck went down in the box and the referee didn’t hesitate before pointing to the spot. Replays showed that the Englishman clearly dived but that didn’t stop Welbeck from stepping up and making it 1-1.
