Unwanted Arsenal striker Ju Young Park has completed a loan move to La Liga side Celta Vigo as stated by official website Arsenal.com.
With Podolski taking his number 9 shirt earlier this month, it was evident that the South Korean was to leave, be it on a permanent or temporary basis.
His new club have only just been promoted to La Liga this season with Arsenal stating that Park will go to the club in order to maximise first-team opportunities.
The South Korean international was largely unused by Arsenal last season making only a solitary Premier League appearance after being recruited on deadline day last year.
While it is a good that a temporary move means that Arsenal no longer have to pay his wages, there is no doubt that they would have preferred for Park to leave permanently.
Although Park has obviously been considered a flop, I feel somewhat sorry for him in the sense that he never really got to prove himself at Arsenal, but that was expected considering Robin van Persie was our main man last year.
