Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is reportedly likely to reject Arsenal’s improved contract offer for the player which is reportedly worth £180,000 per week (via The Metro).
Of the main players out of contract next season including Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Özil, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain looked like the most likely player to stay.
The 24-year-old joined Arsenal way back in 2011 and has made almost 200 appearances for the club in all competitions.
However, The Ox’s current contract is set to expire next summer and the Englishman is reportedly likely to reject Arsenal’s big money offer.
The new deal on the table for Chamberlain is reportedly worth £180,000 per week which would make him the club’s second-highest paid player.

The Ox has been the subject of much interest from rival Premier League clubs including Liverpool and Manchester City but much of the English press is reporting that the player is interested in a move to Chelsea.
It now seems unlikely that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will stay at the club which will provide something of a mixed response from supporters. It’s always a shame to see a player leave, especially to what is expected to be a rival club. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has impressed at right wing-back but even after 0ver 190 appearances for the club, he’s hardly set the world alight. Let’s just hope the club can get a good price for him and invest it elsewhere.
