Hull City v Arsenal
Barclays Premier League
Kingston Communications Stadium
Kick off: April 20, 2014 2:05 PM BST
The Gunners manage to hold onto fourth spot thanks to Everton’s slip up against Crystal Palace but we cannot afford any mistakes against Hull City on Sunday.
Arsene Wenger hopes Mesut Ozil will be available after a month out with a hamstring injury and could join exciting duo Aaron Ramsey and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in returning to the side. Both Ramsey and The Ox were on the bench in Arsenal’s midweek win over West Ham, with the former entering the field in the second half and instantly transforming the north London sides tempo.
At the back it seems Thomas Vermaelen may continue at left back with Wenger confirming Gibbs is unavailable and Monreal faces a race to be fit, the Belgian had a decent outing with his strength in the air a big asset, so he should be more than capable of nulling City’s threat down their right flank.
In midfield, Mathieu Flamini returns from suspension and should start ahead of Arteta. The Spanish midfielder was good against West Ham but has played a high number of games over the past week. The Frenchman should replace our vice captain to prevent any further injuries decimating our midfield! Plus Flamini will add a bit more grit and compliments Ramsey well.

Two goal hero Lukas Podolski will provide a selection dilemma for Wenger especially if Ozil returns and Cazorla shifts to the left. The Spaniard was bang in form against the Hammers which could make the boss hold on starting Ozil, allowing Podolski to start once again. The German would be perfect in a 4-4-2 with Olivier Giroud, but let’s not go there..
Here is our predicted lineup:
Sagna Merts Koscielny Verm
The Ox Podolski
