Croatian starlet Marcelo Brozovic has been the subject of much interest from foreign clubs lately. Arsenal are just one of several English teams to have declared an interest in the midfielder, and according to the latest reports Arsenal representatives are all set for talks with the player’s agent.
The Gunners had deployed scouts to watch the Dinamo Zagreb player this season after he caught the club’s eye during Croatia’s World Cup campaign. Brozovic signed a seven-year deal at Dinamo following his move from Lokomotiva in 2012 but his rapid progress has seen a number of Europe’s elite linked with his signature.
The agent elaborated that these talks would be held in November, when the Croatian national team visits London for a friendly with USA. Arsenal are just one of the teams he would hold talks with.
Croatia play USA in November in London and during out stay there we will hold meetings and negotiate with several English teams. Yes, I can confirm Arsenal are one of them.
In recent years, Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has been reluctant to make reinforcements to his squad during the winter transfer market due to the difficulty in convincing clubs to sell, along with the prospect of exorbitant transfer fees.
However, given the club’s spate of injuries during the opening months of the Premier League season, the Frenchman may consider making exceptions in January.
