The Gunners may be traveling to the Hawthorns this weekend without the services of Bacary Sagna who is set to undergo tests to reveal the extent of a hamstring problem sustained on Tuesday night.
It appears no other players picked up any knocks from the emphatic win over Napoli, and now they until Sunday to play – how luxurious!
Carl Jenkinson will be the natural replacement for Sagna who will return to West Bromwich Albion after the Gunners Capital One Cup penalties.
Arsenal’s winger problems are soon to be slightly lessened with the news that Santi Cazorla will return to action after the international break, with young striker Yaya Sanogo not far behind him.
Arsene Wenger confirmed the following team news on Arsenal’s official website:
[on the team news] The only uncertainty we have could be Bacary Sagna who had a little hamstring problem. He has a scan today [Thursday] and from then on we will assess his situation. Everybody else came out of the Napoli game without a major problem so they should all be available.
